American Councils Armenia is proud to implement the “Support to American Spaces in Armenia” program, fostering educational, cultural, and professional development opportunities across the country.
Through this initiative, American Councils collaborates with American Corners and U.S. Embassy partners to provide diverse programming focused on English language learning, STEM education, and cultural exchange.
These vibrant community hubs offer Armenians of all ages opportunities to engage with American culture, develop skills, and connect with U.S.-Armenia exchange alumni, strengthening ties and mutual understanding between the two nations.

American Councils for International Education Armenia, within the framework of the “Support to the Network of American Spaces in Armenia” program, invites applications from the USG Alumni community to conduct U.S. Embassy Outreach Programs in Armenia in Goris, Sisian, Gavar, Dilijan, Ijevan, Yeghegnadzor, and Jermuk cities. These activities will be hosted by local partner organizations identified by the U.S. Embassy in Yerevan.
Program Scope
The selected candidates will commit to delivering the following on-site programs:
Embracing the United States: Exploring American Culture and Lifestyle with Alumni | 9 hours of engagement | for 13-18 participants, aged 18-25. Topics will include exploring lifestyle, embracing the U.S., and understanding diverse cultural holidays.
USG Alumni-led Activities Related to the Six Pillars of American Spaces | 13.5 hours of engagement | for 13–18 participants, aged 18–25. Facilitated by USG Alumni, candidates will lead a series of workshops related to the six pillars of American Spaces:
Information about the United States
English language teaching and learning
Educational advising for study in the United States
American cultural programs
Networking with U.S. exchange program alumni
Professional skills building

The selected candidates are required to conduct participant recruitment, prepare workshop materials - such as PowerPoint presentations, workshop schedules, and other supporting resources - for both Embracing the United States: Exploring American Culture and Lifestyle and USG Alumni-led Activities Related to the Six Pillars of American Spaces. All activities should take place between October and mid-November 2025.
The selected candidates will also assist in participant recruitment for the following programs, which will be delivered by other trainers selected by American Councils: “AI Training for Teachers,” “Beginner’s English for Adults,” and “Online TOEFL” in the respective cities. A recruitment assistant’s role includes sharing the announcement in targeted groups or with interested individuals.
Honorarium
Up to USD 1,500 (gross) per outreach site.Funding will cover trainers’ honoraria and the cost of materials for the activities.
One USG Alumni can apply for more than one outreach site. The selected candidate may invite other trainers for a specific workshop if they are not able or willing to conduct it themselves. While it is not required for USG Alumni to be from a specific region or city, local affiliation will be considered an advantage.
Reporting
The selected candidates will report to the Project Manager. They are required to prepare an evaluation form for each program and include the results in the final narrative report. A reporting template will be provided to all selected candidates.All interested candidates can apply by filling out the form by September 21, 00:00.

On-site Beginner’s English for Adults - U.S. Embassy Outreach Programs in Armenia

Summary:
American Councils for International Education, Armenia office, invites proposals from qualified individual instructors to provide on-site English language instruction for adults at U.S. Embassy Outreach Programs in Armenia in Goris, Sisian, Gavar, Dilijan, Ijevan, Yeghegnadzor, and Jermuk cities. The courses aim to help participants improve their English proficiency and confidence, access English-language media, and build skills to critically engage with information. The courses will be hosted by local partner organizations identified by the U.S. Embassy in Yerevan.
Program Details:
Duration: 24 hours
Participants: 8-12 adults per site, ages 30+
Locations: Goris, Sisian, Gavar, Dilijan, Ijevan, Yeghegnadzor, Jermuk (one candidate may apply to teach at multiple locations. Proposed funding should also account for transportation costs, if applicable)
Schedule: Planned for October-November 2025
Funding: Details will be communicated directly with selected candidates (covering trainers’ honoraria, materials, and transportation costs, if applicable).

Student Support: Explanation of additional support for those needing assistance
Duties and responsibilities:
Provide foreign language instruction in listening, reading, writing, and speaking skills
Develop learning materials as required
Use communicative, learner-centered, and task-based teaching strategies
Develop lesson plans
