Call for TOEFL iBT & English Language Instruction Proposals at American Corners Armenia
Summary:
American Councils for International Education Armenia office is inviting proposals from qualified organizations and individual instructors for language instruction in the following courses at the American Corners Armenia. All classes will be provided on-site in the respective locations in March and April. The Yerevan course will be online.
Online TOEFL iBT Course in Yerevan:
Participants: Approximately 300 participants
Platform: Online
TOEFL iBT Offline Course in Vanadzor, Gyumri, and Charentsavan:
Participants: 15-20 students over 16 years old in each location
Platform: Offline sessions at American Corners in Vanadzor, Gyumri, and Charentsavan
English with Technologies for Beginners in Kapan:
Participants: 18 young people with a beginner or elementary level in English
Platform: Offline sessions at American Corner in Kapan

Class Logistics: Proposal on class size, student-teacher ratio, course duration, and a sample class schedule

Student Support: Explanation of additional support for those needing assistance
Duties and responsibilities:
Provide foreign language instruction in listening, reading, writing, and speaking skills
Develop learning materials as required
Use communicative, learner-centered, and task-based teaching strategies
Develop lesson plans

American Spaces are cultural and information centers around the world that provide free and open access for members of local communities to learn more about the United States, develop skills, and access a wide range of resources. American Spaces include American Centers, American Corners, and Binational Centers, all of which operate on different models. There are now American Corners located in 5 cities of Armenia: Yerevan, Gyumri, Vanadzor, Kapan, and Charentsavan. The American Corners in Armenia are partnerships between the U.S. Embassy Yerevan and Republic of Armenia Institutions. All the programs of the American Spaces are offered free of charge to the public.
